Spiritually Minded Women Podcast

Oct 21, 2020

Have you ever felt as if God was silent? If you have, you’re not alone. In this episode I share three reasons why you might be experiencing silence from God.

First, silence could mean God trusts you to make decisions and use your agency or he’s giving you experiences to help you grow your faith.

Second, He may have already given you the answer and the silence is there because you already know. Your past experiences when you have heard Him can help sustain you.

Third, there may be something that is part of your human experience that is blocking you from feeling His love and direction. This could include things like mental health challenges, hormone imbalances, chronic pain, side effects from medication or other physical ailments.

If you are or ever have experienced silence from God in your journey, you’re in good company. In the episode, I give you examples of others who have been there to like Sariah, Mother Teresa, Joseph Smith and my friend, Melinda Peterson.

Why would a loving God be silent? I have thought and pondered deeply about this. I certainly don’t claim to have all the answers. But I have dug in and tried to find answers for myself, those I love who struggle and for you. I hope you feel hope and peace by listening to this episode.
